The South Caucasian countries , Georgia , Azerbaijan and Armenia , were some of the main trade destinations for the Silk Road caravans. The loaded caravans with silk , porcelain , gold , perfume , precious stones , carpets and other goods used to come from Iran along the southern shores of the Caspian Sea in Azerbaijan and continued through Georgia and Armenia to the Black Sea coast and the Middle East or v.v .Georgia , Armenia and Azerbaijan offer a number of important Silk Road sites as well as ancient cultures and beautiful Caucasian landscapes. 

Our holiday is followed by a journey to Iran , the country of one of the world's oldest civilizations. Iran is some of the best highlights on the Silk Road with its fascinating history , stunning architecture and arts , traditions and hospitality. By the 2nd century BC , Persia and China started to exchange official trade , and the caravan route , known as the Silk Road , became of the great importance. Persians were some of the major consumers of Chinese silk , buying it from the East and selling it on to the West. Our journey in Iran covers such important sites of the Silk Road as towns Tabriz , Zanjan , Tehran , Kashan , Esfahan and Shiraz with ancient Takht-e Jamshid (Persepolis). Day 01

Baku: Arrive in Baku , the capital of Azerbaijan. Transfer to hotel.                 

Day 02

Baku: Baku city tour with visits to historical and architectural monuments, parks, caravansaries and museums, Muslim pilgrimage places, carpet and souvenir shops. Night in Baku.

Day 03

Baku - Sheikh: Leaving for town Sheki. On the way excursion to Rock Mausoleum "Diri Baba" 8th c. in Maraza, Djuma Mechet and Yeddy Gumbez mausoleum, panoramic view of the Caucasian Mountains. Arrive in Sheki.

Day 04

Sheki - Telavi: Sightseeing tour in Sheki. Excursion to Khans Palace (18th c.). Leaving for the Azerbaijan-Georgian border. Cross border to Georgia. In Kakheti province visit Gremi Church. Arrive town Telavi. Overnight in Telavi

Day 05

Telavi-David Gareji-Tbilisi: Visit Alaverdi Cathedral, (11th c.), the tallest church in Georgia. Drive to David Gareji Monastery. Founded in the 6th century , the monasteries of Gareji are famous for their cave architecture and frescos of 8th-13th centuries. Drive to Tbilisi, capital of Georgia. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 06

Tbilisi: City tour with visiting to medieval architectural monuments, churches, Narikala Fortress, streets of the Old Town, the museums and the central avenue of the city. 

Day 07

Tbilisi - Mtskheta-Samtavisi - Bakuriani: Drive to Mtskheta , the ancient capital of Georgia , where we visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, 11th c., and Jvari Monastery , 6th c. Continue to  ski-resort Bakuriani in Borjomi area. En route visit Samtavisi Temple. Overnight in Bakuriani.

Day 08

Bakuriani - Vardzia - Kutaisi: Drive to Vardzia cave-town , built in the 12th century by Queen Tamara. Drive to Kutaisi. Kutaisi , which dates back to the Argonauts times (13th -12th centuries BC) , was the capital of old Colchis and later of Western Georgia

Day 09

Kutaisi - Tbilisi: In Kutaisi visit Bagrati (11th c.) , and Gelati (12th c.) temples. Drive to Tbilisi. On the way visit Ateni Church , 7th c. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 10

Tbilisi. Free time in Tbilisi

Day 11

Tbilisi - Yerevan: Drive from Tbilisi to Yerevan, capital of Armenia. Sightseeing tour of the city. Overnight in Yerevan.

Day 12

Garni & Geghard: Excursion to Garni- the Pagan Temple, 1st c. Continue to Geghard Cave Monastery, 11th c., a unique sample of medieval Armenian architecture. Return to Yerevan.

Day 13

Echmiadzin: Excursion to Echmiadzin, the centre of Armenian Apostolic Church. St. Echmiadzin Cathedral, was founded here in 301 and it is one of the oldest and beautiful churches in Armenia. Visit Hripsime Martyria Church of the 7th century and Zvartnots Temple, 7th c. Visit Matanadaran, depository of ancient manuscripts. Overnight in Yerevan.  

Day 14

Yerevan - Kafan: Via the valley of the Biblical Mount Ararat and then by crossing several mountain passes reach town Kafan in the southern part of Armenia. Overnight in Kafan.

Day 15

Kafan - Tabriz, Iran: Leave Kafan to Armenia-Iranian border. Cross the border to Iran. Drive to town Tabriz. Overnight in Tabriz.

Day 16

Tabriz -Tehran: Drive toward Tehran, en route visit the giant dome of Soltaniyeh (13th century AD) near town Zanjan. Continue driving to reach Tehran , passing the town of Ghazvin. Overnight in Tehran.

Day 17

Tehran: Full day city tour of Tehran to visit Bazaar, Archaeological museum (both its pre and post Islamic eras) , in the afternoon visit carpet museum.

Day 18

Shiraz: Transfer to the airport to fly to town Shiraz. City tour of Shiraz to visit Shah Cheragh Shrine , Narenjestan edifice, the Bazaar, Karim Khan citadel, Tomb of famous Iranian poet Hafez. Overnight in Shiraz.

Day 19

Shiraz - Persepolis - Shiraz: Excursion to Takht-e-Jamshid (Persepolis), founded by Darius I, (550-486 BC), an Achaemenid King in 518 BC. and completed by the kings Xeroxes (486-465 BC) and Artaxerxes I (465-425 BC). The Achaemenid Kings  used the palaces up until Alexander destroyed them in 330 BC. Visit Naqsh-e-Rostam, an impressive complex of tombs of Achaemenid Kings; drive back to Shiraz, in the night visit Eram Garden, the tomb of Iranian famous poet Saadi.

Day 20

Shiraz - Passargade - Isfahan: In the morning drive to Isfahan. En route visit Passargade, the capital of Cyrus the Great that is situated in Dasht-e-Morghab. Continue driving to Isfahan. Overnight in Esfahan.

Day 21

Isfahan: Full day city tour of Esfahan to visit Naqsh-e-Jahan Square with Imam mosque, Sheykh Lotfollah mosque, Ali Qapu palace, in the afternoon visit Bazaar, Siose Poul and Khajou bridges.

Day 22

Isfahan: City tour of Isfahan to visit Jame mosque, Hasht Behest palace, Vank church and Chehel Sotoun palace.

Day 23

Isfahan - Kashan - Tehran: Drive to Tehran. On the way visit town Kashan and Fin complex, Agha Bozorg mosque and Boroujerdi house. Arrive Tehran

Day 24

Trip end. Transfer to the airport. Departure.
